where to find
extra energy
If you play Hogwarts Mystery (I am sure you do, since you come here anyway!) I am 100% sure you know the struggle of always being out of energy. Well, in case you don't know, there are several hidden places where you can find extra energy. You can find these several times in a day! Here is the complete list of where you can find it!
PER LOCATIONS
East Towers
It's in that blank, grey painting right next to you. When you tap it, you'll get one energy and a girl will emerge inside the painting. She also giggled. Like, you will hear her giggle. Also if you scroll to the right, you'll see Peeves (or the blue ghost in orange top). Tap him and you'll get one free energy.
West Towers
Near the Prefect's Bathroom, you'll see a painting on the left. Tap it and you will get one energy. It will show a hand putting three oranges in whatever that is.
Lower Floor - West
You get two in this place — the torch on the right side of the entrance to the Great Hall and the middle knight statue near it. You will notice two knights interacting. Weird stuff does happen in Hogwarts.
Lower Floor - East
You might get energy sometimes from the stack of papers! Not every single time though, you usually get pages. But yes, few is better than none, right?
Dungeons
Between the Kitchens and Potions Classroom (my most disliked class, tbh. Thanks to Snape) you'll see this... what's this? A house-elf (finally, thank you Jae for telling me what that is. I'm not much of a Potterhead). If you tap it, he will run away towards the corridor near the kitchen. Really. What did I do wrong?
Castle Grounds
Between the Whomping Willow and Hagrid's Hut, you'll see a bark. You get one energy by tapping it, and Fangs, Hagrid's puppy, will catch it.
Lower Floor - East
Feel so unsatisfied by the messy books? One tap and they will prettily stack themselves (with magic, of course!) and you are rewarded one energy. Yay!
Hogsmeade
Between Three Broomsticks and Honeydukes, you'll see someone waving at you at a distance. They're telling you that they're ready... to surf! Tap them and they will surf the alley while you get one energy. Oh, look, there's me and Andre. He just gave me a new coat. Who doesn't love freebies? :-)
Forbidden Forest
Get one energy by tapping that huge spider web above the Spider's Lair.
Magical Creatures Reserve
Tap the cute 'puppy' right over there and you'll be gifted with one energy!
Pets in Dormitory
You can wake up your sleeping pets and get one energy from EACH PET. EACH. PET. No matter how many pets you have. The Dormitory is in your House Common Room. Also, make sure to collect this at the end, because this will add energy even if your energy bar is full! Can't say the same for most others.
Diagon Alley
Tap the small money pouch near Gringotts Wizarding Bank and a Niffler will steal it. Uh... is that your Niffler? Oh, but you get one energy!
Quidditch Stadium
You can click on the Snitch to get one extra energy!
Ministry of Magic
You can click on the paper airplanes to get energy!
Black Lake
Click on the serpent surrounding the rock!
St Mungo's
Click on the little door and besides getting a blob of energy, an elf will come out and do a cleansy cleansy.
Dragon Sanctuary
Click on the dragon perched on top of the nest on the right corner of the button.
Godric's Hollow
Touch the grave for extra energy. (A ghost pops out, so don't get too shocked)
The Burrow
Touch the gnome in the hole and you will get energy!
Azkaban Cell Block
Tap on the door beside the Cell Block and you'll get one energy!
CLUBHOUSES
Dragon Clubhouse
Once you hit certain levels, you can obtain energy from items that are highlighted in yellow. To list a few of them, you can get energy (or coins? or creature food? It's a win either way-) from the portrait you see as soon as you enter, the statue of the winged boar, the Quidditch goalposts (the hoops), the beaters' bat/ club, and the hanging lights. Of course, you'll have to level up to access the locations. (A small price to pay for salvation).
Hippogriff Clubhouse
Once you hit certain levels, you can obtain energy from items that are highlighted in green. A few of them are: the portrait you see on entering, the dancing book, the kelpie, the kneazle cave, and the distillery. Again, you'll have to level up to access all of them.
Sphinx Clubhouse
Once you hit certain levels, you can obtain energy from items that are highlighted in pink. Energy spots here are the portrait upon entering, the orrery of the solar system, the puffskein portrait, the rat/ teacup, the sphinx. Like always, you'll have to level up!
SPECIAL & DORMITORY
This section indicates where you can find energy other than the locations. It depends on what kind of pets you have, what achievements you unlocked, what events are available, and other things.
Watch ads
Hogwarts Mystery lets us watch ads multiple times. It is often three times.
Gryffindor Dormitory
*I got correction from a contributor that the energy in the dorm rooms will depend on what other quests you've accomplished, not what house you're in.
